Osiyo,

This week is Public Service Recognition Week, and I want to take a moment to honor those serving our nation as federal, Tribal, state, county and local government employees.

Across the United States and worldwide, public servants use this occasion to educate others about their work, why they have chosen public service careers and how government services make life better for all of us.

Thank you for your incredible dedication and service to the Bureau of Indian Education.

Our shared commitment to providing a high-quality and culturally relevant education empowers Indigenous students and uplifts our communities.

Employees at the BIE are mentors, advocates and champions of cultural revitalization.

Together, we strive to create a brighter future for Indigenous students. We recognize that education is about imparting knowledge and fostering cultural pride, resilience and empowerment.

Thank you for being integral to this collective effort to build stronger, more vibrant Indigenous communities.

I appreciate you.

Wado.
