Strategic Use of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funds:
Measuring the Impact and Cost Effectiveness of Selected Evidence-based Practices

This virtual workshop is designed to:
- Introduce Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) to a process that can guide them and/or BIE’s Tribally Controlled Schools and Bureau Operated Schools, in selecting and implementing evidence-based practices that fit their Tribal school or local Tribal frameworks and student needs;
- Explore specific factors and considerations, including impact on student outcomes, feasibility of implementation, and cost effectiveness, that can help guide decisionmakers to assess whether an intervention might meet their specific needs;
- Guide BIE teams to determine the various purposes and approaches for collecting data to measure progress and outcomes, e.g., impact on student outcomes and/or return on investment; and
- Provide opportunities for BIE team planning.
Workshop information sessions are followed by two small-group breakout sessions:
- The Selection and Use of Evidence-Based Practices: Accelerating Learning and SocialEmotional Well-Being; and
- Measuring the Effectiveness of Evidence-based Practices
