Content Standards
Content standards were designed to encourage the highest achievement of every student, by defining the knowledge, concepts, and skills that students should acquire at each grade level.
Curriculum
Curriculum are resources and guidance on selected content areas, and instructional strategies to aid parents, teachers, and other education professionals in supporting BIE student success.
Curriculum Frameworks & Instructional Materials
Curriculum frameworks provide guidance for implementing the adopted content standards. A framework guides the development of curriculum, instruction, assessment, instructional materials, and professional learning to ensure that all learners achieve their highest potential.
Below is a non-comprehensive list of publishers offering free Common Core teaching resources. The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) does not in any way endorse or specifically recommend this resource. Users should carefully conduct their own evaluation based upon their own specific local needs and the appropriateness of the resources offered. BIE schools are not mandated to utilize the below instructional materials.
