Special Education Integrated Monitoring Process (SEIMP)

The monitoring unit monitors the school's implementation of Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004, enforce Part B in accordance with the provision 34 CFR 300.604(a)(1), and (a)(3), (b)(2)(i) and (b)(2)(v), and (c)(2) and annually reports on performance under Part B. With a focus on improving education results for students with disabilities and ensuring that program requirements under Part B, particularly those most closely related to improving educational results for students with disabilities are met.

ANNOUNCEMENT - LOCAL SCHOOL PERFORMANCE PLAN (LSPP) form and description for SY 2013-2014 can be found in Native Star

All schools with academic programs can access and complete their initial 2013-2014 LSPP directly in Native Star school dashboard under the "Forms to Complete" tab by September 30, 2013. The LSPP guidance description that accompanies the LSPP is located under the "Docs and Links" tab. The Native Star tool can be access through the BIE website home page at http://www.bie.edu/. Consult with your School Principal to access and complete the LSPP form. Four follow-up tabs progress checkpoints must be completed during the submission window. An announcement will follow in the Native Star school bulletin board. Schools that received a 2013 Needs Assistance (2-6 consecutive years) Special Education Level of Determination must complete the section on "TA Accessed and Action Taken as a Result of that TA" during one of the progress checkpoints for the specific State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Plan (SPP/APR) Indicator(s) not met.
